The Actress

The first garment I designed, pattern made, stitched and did photo shoot was a blouse, skirt, shrug and waist belt for a Womenswear college project.
My inspiration for the garment came from a chapter I read in school, The Actress by Ilya Ehrenburg and partially from Marlene Dietrich. The garment was made for the very character in the chapter, hence the colors and the silhouette gives a very rustic and world war feel to it.
I was just too excited to have made the garment and hence couldn't resist the temptation of wearing and modelling my own creation. So here it is...
